  1. Perform ultrasounds on pediatric patients to aid in the diagnosis of heart conditions.
  2. Collaborate with pediatric cardiologists to ensure accurate and timely results.
  3. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and ensure the comfort of young patients during procedures.
  4. Monitor and maintain ultrasound equipment, reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
  5. Educate and prepare patients and their families for ultrasound procedures.
  6. Accurately document and report all findings to the supervising physician.
  7. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  8. Stay up-to-date on advancements in pediatric cardiology and ultrasound technology.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  11. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Assist in scheduling and coordinating appointments for pediatric ultrasound procedures.
  13. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
  14. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and sensitivity when working with children and their families.
  15. Comply with all Northwell Health policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Diagnostic Medical Sonography: A Ultrasound Technologist In Pediatric Cardiology At Northwell Health Should Hold A Valid Certification In Diagnostic Medical Sonography From A Recognized Institution.

  • Specialization In Pediatric Cardiology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Specialized Training And Experience In Pediatric Cardiology To Effectively Perform And Interpret Ultrasound Scans For Young Patients.

  • Knowledge Of Pediatric Heart Conditions: A Thorough Understanding Of Various Congenital And Acquired Heart Conditions In Children Is Essential For Accurate Diagnosis And Treatment Planning.

  • Familiarity With Advanced Technology: Northwell Health Utilizes State-Of-The-Art Ultrasound Equipment And Techniques For Pediatric Cardiology Exams. The Candidate Should Have Experience And Proficiency In Using These Technologies.
