Ultrasound Technologist

Our ideal candidate is a caring, compassionate, and detail-oriented individual who can provide our patients with a safe and comfortable patient experience.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess an Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, as well as a current certification/registration from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Responsibilities:

1. Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
2. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency in the production of images.
3. Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the procedure, ensuring the patient’s comfort, and positioning the patient appropriately.
4. Review patient medical records to determine the type of imaging needed and ensure that all necessary information is included.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procedures performed.
6. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in compliance with Northwell Health’s policies.
7. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
8. Maintain current certification/registration from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
