- Clean and sanitize patient rooms and other healthcare facilities in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure all cleaning procedures and protocols are followed to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients.
- Collaborate with other team members to prioritize tasks and ensure all areas are cleaned and ready for use.
- Conduct thorough inspections of rooms and facilities to identify any areas that require additional cleaning or maintenance.
- Restock and replenish supplies as needed to maintain a fully stocked and functional environment.
- Utilize proper cleaning equipment and products to ensure high-quality results and prevent damage to equipment or surfaces.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Attend trainings and meetings to stay updated on new cleaning techniques and protocols.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards patients, visitors, and coworkers at all times.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Is Required For The Turnover Technician Position At Northwell Health.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Healthcare Facility, Preferably In A Turnover Or Cleaning Role.
Knowledge Of Infection Control Protocols: The Turnover Technician Is Responsible For Maintaining A Clean And Safe Environment For Patients, So Knowledge Of Infection Control And Prevention Is Essential.
Attention To Detail: As The Turnover Technician Is Responsible For Cleaning And Preparing Patient Rooms, Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Ensure All Areas Are Thoroughly Sanitized And Ready For The Next Patient.
Ability To Work Independently And In A Team: The Turnover Technician May Be Required To Work Independently At Times, But Also Needs To Be Able To Work Well In A Team Setting And Communicate Effectively With Other Healthcare Professionals.
