Surgical Technologist- Abdominal Transplant

1. Prepare operating room for surgical procedures by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes according to surgical protocols.
2. Assist surgeons and surgical team during transplant surgeries by passing instruments, holding retractors, and maintaining a sterile field.
3. Anticipate surgeon's needs during procedures and provide necessary support to ensure the smooth flow of surgery.
4. Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout procedures, including handling and disposing of surgical instruments and supplies.
5. Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort during surgery.
6. Operate and maintain specialized surgical equipment, including robotic surgery systems.
7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures, including supplies used and patient information.
8. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment in the operating room.
9. Continuously update knowledge and skills in surgical technology, including attending trainings and workshops.
10. Provide emotional support to patients and their families before, during, and after surgery.
11. Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
12. Follow all hospital and departmental policies and procedures to ensure high-quality and safe patient care.
13. Assist in transporting patients to and from the operating room and assist in positioning them for surgery.
14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.
15. Adhere to ethical and legal standards, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
