  1. Operate and maintain complex mechanical systems such as boilers, HVAC systems, generators, and water treatment systems to ensure safe and efficient functioning of our facilities.
  2. Conduct routine inspections and tests on equipment and systems to identify any potential issues and address them in a timely manner to prevent interruptions in service.
  3. Perform regular maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, following all safety protocols and procedures, to ensure they are functioning at optimal levels.
  4. Monitor and record equipment readings and data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or technical issues that may arise.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance and repair activities, following regulatory requirements and company policies.
  7. Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards related to mechanical systems and equipment.
  8. Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on proper maintenance and operation of mechanical systems.
  9. Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure efficient operation of the facilities.
  10. Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices to continuously improve skills and knowledge in the field of stationary engineering.
  11. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of Northwell Health by providing exceptional service and care to our patients, staff, and visitors.

Job Qualifications
  • Possession Of A Valid Stationary Engineer License From The State In Which The Facility Is Located.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Stationary Engineer In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Ability To Interpret And Comply With All Local, State, And Federal Regulations Related To The Operation And Maintenance Of Stationary Equipment.

  • Knowledge Of Hvac Systems, Building Automation Systems, And Other Mechanical Systems Commonly Found In Healthcare Facilities.

  • Ability To Troubleshoot And Repair Mechanical Equipment, Including Pumps, Boilers, Refrigeration Systems, And Generators.
