  1. Provide exceptional customer service to patients utilizing our specialty pharmacy services.
  2. Assist in the coordination of medication orders and refills, including obtaining necessary authorizations and coordinating with insurance companies.
  3. Accurately and efficiently enter patient data and medication orders into the pharmacy system.
  4. Maintain inventory and assist with ordering and stocking of specialty medications.
  5. Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure timely and proper delivery of medications.
  6. Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely dispensing of specialty medications.
  7. Adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  9. Educate patients on proper medication usage, storage, and potential side effects.
  10. Assist in the resolution of any patient or medication-related issues or concerns.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and provide suggestions for enhancing the patient experience.
  12. Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current on industry updates and advancements.
  13. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Northwell Health.
  15. Complete all administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  16. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  17. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  18. Demonstrate a commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education Required; Associate's Degree In Pharmacy Technology Or Related Field Preferred.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Retail Or Specialty Pharmacy Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Specialty Medications And Their Handling, Storage, And Dispensing Requirements.

  • Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Handle Multiple Responsibilities Simultaneously.

  • Strong Customer Service Skills And Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Insurance Companies.
