
Senior Director, Facilities Management

- Develop and implement strategic plans and policies for facility management in alignment with the mission and goals of Northwell Health
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all facilities, including maintenance, repairs, renovations, and upgrades
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, codes, and regulations related to facility management
- Manage a team of facility managers, technicians, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and resources as needed
- Create and maintain budgets for facility management, including forecasting and tracking expenses
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective services
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and address facility needs and issues
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the condition and safety of facilities
- Implement and monitor energy conservation and sustainability initiatives across all facilities
- Communicate and coordinate with senior leadership to provide updates, recommendations, and solutions related to facility management
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in facility management and apply them to improve processes and procedures at Northwell Health.
Extensive Experience In Facilities Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Managing Facilities, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Building Operations, Maintenance, And Renovation Projects.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Senior Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Facilities Managers And Staff. They Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Mentor Their Team To Achieve Organizational Goals.
Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Standards: Northwell Health Is A Large Healthcare Organization, And The Senior Director Of Facilities Management Must Be Well-Versed In All Applicable Regulations And Standards. This Includes Knowledge Of Osha, Joint Commission, And Nfpa Requirements.
Strategic Planning And Budget Management: The Senior Director Will Be Responsible For Developing And Executing Long-Term Facility Management Plans And Budgets. They Should Have Experience In Strategic Planning And Budget Management, Including Forecasting And Cost Analysis.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Role Of Senior Director Requires Frequent Communication And Collaboration With Various Stakeholders, Including Hospital Leadership, Department Heads, And External Vendors. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Build Relationships And Work Effectively With Others.
