  1. Assist in the preparation and distribution of medications to patients in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Follow established protocols and procedures for preparing and labeling medications.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all medications dispensed and received.
  4. Communicate effectively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication orders and dosages.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and restock medications as needed.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure proper medication management and patient safety.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions related to medications.
  8. Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements in handling and storing medications.
  9. Continuously update knowledge of medication and pharmacy practices through ongoing education and training.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of expired or unused medications.
  11. Assist in other pharmacy-related tasks as needed, such as answering phones and processing medication orders.
  12. Uphold the values and mission of Northwell Health by providing compassionate and quality care to our patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification From An Accredited Institution.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Dispensing Medications, Inventory Management, And Insurance Billing.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working As A Pharmacy Technician In A Healthcare Setting, Particularly In A Hospital Or Retail Pharmacy, Is Preferred.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Candidate Must Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Pharmacists, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Attention To Detail: A Registered Pharmacy Technician At Northwell Health Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Accurately Process And Dispense Medications, As Well As Ensure Compliance With Safety And Quality Standards.
