
Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Hematology Oncology
We at Northwell Health are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Hematology Oncology team. Our ideal candidate is a dedicated and experienced professional who is passionate about providing the highest quality of care to our patients and their families. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of acute care RN experience, including at least one year of pediatric hematology/oncology experience. They must also possess a valid Nursing License issued by the state of New York. In addition to the required qualifications, the ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, as well as a commitment to patient advocacy. They must demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of Northwell Health, as well as a desire to work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment. Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to pediatric hematology/oncology patients and their families.
- Maintain a valid nursing license issued by the state of New York.
- Develop and maintain excellent communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient advocacy and the mission and values of Northwell Health.
- Work collaboratively and in a team-oriented environment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of treatments and procedures related to the specialty.
- Educate patients and families about their health condition and treatment plans.
- Document all patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Monitor patients’ progress and consult with physicians on any changes in condition.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing
Rn License In New York
At Least Years Of Nursing Experience In Pediatric Oncology/Hematology
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) Certification
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology
Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
