Registered Nurse (RN) NICU

At Northwell Health, we are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) NICU to join our team and provide the highest quality of care to our patients. The ideal candidate for this role will have an extensive background in pediatric care and a dedication to patient advocacy. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, have a valid RN license in New York, and have at least two years of experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Experience with high-risk labor and delivery, neonatal resuscitation, and advanced life support is also highly preferred. In addition to these qualifications, the ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and team player, as well as possess the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.

Responsibilities:

1. Administer bedside and direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a NICU setting.
2. Monitor and provide guidance and education to patients and their families on neonatal care topics.
3. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient plans of care.
4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate patient care.
5. Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and interpret patient data and develop appropriate interventions.
6. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
9. Handle emergency situations and provide resuscitation and stabilization of patients.
10. Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
