Registered Nurse-Psychiatry

As part of Northwell Health's Psychiatry Department, we are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide a variety of services to psychiatric patients. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a compassionate and empathetic attitude, as well as a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of psychiatry.Required qualifications for the Registered Nurse-Psychiatry position include a current Registered Nurse license in New York State, at least one year of experience in psychiatric nursing, and an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse-Psychiatry:

-Provide a variety of services to psychiatric patients, including assessment, medical treatments, and medication management

-Create individualized treatment plans, based on assessment of patient needs

-Administer medications and monitor patient progress -Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients and their families -Provide emotional support to patients and their families -Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations -Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings -Assist with discharge planning -Document patient care and progress -Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
