  1. Provide exceptional patient care: The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse will be to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the Operating Room.
  2. Utilize clinical expertise: The Registered Nurse will be expected to utilize their clinical expertise and knowledge to provide top-notch care to patients and assist surgeons during procedures.
  3. Maintain a safe environment: It will be the responsibility of the Registered Nurse to ensure a safe and sterile environment in the Operating Room, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare team: The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
  5. Monitor patients: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients before, during, and after surgery, assessing their vital signs and providing necessary interventions.
  6. Administer medications: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for administering medications to patients as prescribed by the surgeon or anesthesiologist.
  7. Document patient care: It will be the responsibility of the Registered Nurse to accurately document all patient care and procedures performed in the Operating Room.
  8. Educate patients: The Registered Nurse will educate patients and their families on post-operative care and provide them with necessary instructions and information.
  9. Adhere to policies and procedures: The Registered Nurse will be expected to adhere to all Northwell Health policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards.
  10. Continuously improve skills: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for continuously improving their skills and knowledge through training, education, and staying updated with new medical advancements and procedures.
  11. Maintain professionalism: The Registered Nurse will maintain a professional demeanor, uphold patient confidentiality, and promote a positive image of Northwell Health.
  12. Handle emergencies: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for handling any emergencies that may arise during surgery and taking appropriate actions.
  13. Collaborate with the team: The Registered Nurse will collaborate with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient care

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License In The State Of New York.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Operating Room Setting.

  • Bls And Acls Certifications.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Perioperative Nursing Principles And Practices.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment, While Maintaining A Calm And Professional Demeanor.
