Registered Nurse-Obstetrics

Northwell Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse-Obstetrics to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide a wide range of nursing services and support patients and families throughout the pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum period. You will be responsible for administering medications, performing assessments, monitoring vital signs, and providing patient education.The ideal candidate for this position will have strong interpersonal skills, be highly organized, and possess at least two years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities:

1. Provide compassionate care to patients and families throughout the pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
2. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient’s vital signs.
3. Assess patients’ physical and emotional needs to determine appropriate care.
4. Educate patients and families on the importance of self-care, nutrition, and proper postpartum care.
5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
6. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in obstetrics and women’s health.
7. Develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
9. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
10. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
