  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality patient care to individuals in the Adult Med/Surg unit.
  2. Utilize strong clinical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  5. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.

  8. Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the appropriate healthcare team members.

  11. Demonstrate professionalism and empathy in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  12. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  13. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with maintaining accreditation standards.
  15. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For A Registered Nurse Position At Northwell Health. This Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide High-Quality Care To Adult Med/Surg Patients.

  • Current Rn License In The State Of New York: Candidates Must Hold A Valid And Current Rn License In The State Of New York. This Demonstrates That The Individual Has Met The State's Requirements For Education And Training And Is Authorized To Practice As A Nurse.

  • Bcls Certification: Basic Cardiac Life Support (Bcls) Certification Is Required For All Rn Positions At Northwell Health. This Certification Ensures That The Nurse Is Trained In Critical Life-Saving Techniques, Such As Cpr And First Aid.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Adult Med/Surg: Northwell Health Prefers Candidates Who Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In Adult Med/Surg Nursing. This Demonstrates The Nurse's Proficiency In Managing The Complex Needs Of Adult Patients In A Medical-Surgical Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Registered Nurse At Northwell Health, The Individual Will Be Expected To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team To Provide Patient-Centered Care. Therefore, Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
