- Assist dentists during dental procedures: The primary responsibility of the Registered Dental Assistant will be to assist dentists during dental procedures. This includes preparing the treatment room, handing instruments to the dentist, and providing support throughout the procedure.
- Perform chairside duties: The Registered Dental Assistant will be responsible for performing chairside duties, such as suctioning, taking X-rays, and applying topical anesthetics. They must ensure that all procedures are carried out efficiently and accurately.
- Sterilize instruments and equipment: It is the responsibility of the Registered Dental Assistant to sterilize and maintain all dental instruments and equipment. This includes following proper infection control protocols and ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
