- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care during robotic surgeries.
- Assist in the preparation and setup of robotic equipment and instruments for surgical procedures.
- Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups for patients undergoing robotic surgery.
- Monitor and maintain patient safety during surgical procedures, including monitoring vital signs and responding to any changes or concerns.
- Administer medications as directed by the surgeon and ensure accurate documentation of medication administration.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Educate patients and their families on the robotic surgery procedure and post-operative care instructions.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on advancements in robotic surgery technology and techniques.
- Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment, following all infection control protocols.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to troubleshoot any equipment issues that may arise during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to provide a positive and supportive experience during the surgical process.
- Continuously assess and improve the quality of care provided to patients undergoing robotic surgery.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed during all stages of the robotic surgery process.
Master's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.
Certification By The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Robotic Surgery, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Medical Center Setting.
Current Unrestricted License To Practice As A Physician Assistant In The State Of New York.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification.
