Physician Assistant-General Surgery

We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Physician Assistant-General Surgery to join the Northwell Health team. This role requires an individual with strong problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills who is passionate about providing quality care to our patients.To be successful in this role, you should hold a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited PA program and have relevant experience in the field of general surgery. You should be a dedicated team player who is able to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best patient care. Responsibilities:

1. Provide quality care to patients in accordance with Northwell Health standards
2. Utilize strong problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills
3. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
4. Build relationships with patients and their families
5. Perform medical assessments and diagnose and treat patients
6. Maintain patient records and document medical history
7. Prescribe medication and treatments as necessary
8. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
9. Remain up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of general surgery
