
Phlebotomist
At Northwell Health, we are looking for an experienced, compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team and provide excellent patient care. Our ideal candidate is highly organized, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about providing accurate and timely results.The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and must be certified as a Phlebotomist by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the National Phlebotomy Association. Previous experience in a hospital or other healthcare setting is preferred. Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform quality control procedures to ensure accurate results.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Provide accurate and timely results to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow established safety protocols and policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
