As a Phlebotomist at Northwell Health, you will play an important, hands-on role in providing quality care to our patients and their families. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform venipuncture and other related Phlebotomy tasks efficiently and accurately.
  2. Collect and process samples according to established protocols and regulations.
  3. Document patient information and test results accurately in the electronic medical record system.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  5. Ensure all necessary supplies are stocked and available.
  6. Assist with patient education and answer questions as needed.
  7. Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  8. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our patients.
  9. Assist with clerical duties related to the Phlebotomy department.
  10. Comply with all laws, policies, and regulations pertaining to patient safety and care.
