- Greet and welcome patients and customers to the pharmacy at Northwell Health's Vivo location.
- Assist patients in a friendly and professional manner while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
- Accurately and efficiently process prescriptions and medication orders.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and order necessary medications and supplies.
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Ensure all medications are labeled and packaged correctly according to state and federal regulations.
- Perform data entry and maintain patient records accurately and confidentially.
- Provide support to the pharmacist in filling and checking prescriptions.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the pharmacy counter and storage areas.
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in pharmacy practices and regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best care for patients.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or supervisor.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Completion Of A Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (Cpht) From A Nationally Recognized Organization (Such As Ptcb Or Nha).
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience Working As A Pharmacy Technician In A Retail Or Hospital Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Insurance Billing Processes.
