- Maintain an organized and efficient workflow in the pharmacy department.
- Handle medication inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal.
- Accurately enter and maintain patient information in the pharmacy system.
- Communicate with healthcare professionals and patients to clarify medication orders and provide necessary information.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
- Assist in the resolution of medication-related issues and discrepancies.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Pharmacy Technician At Northwell Health Is A High School Diploma Or Ged. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Math, Science, And Communication Skills.
Certification Or License: Candidates Must Be Certified Or Licensed As A Pharmacy Technician In The State Of New York. This Certification Is Required To Dispense Medication And Assist Pharmacists In Their Duties.
Knowledge Of Pharmacy Practices And Procedures: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Pharmacy Practices, Including Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Customer Service. This Knowledge Is Necessary To Ensure That Medications Are Dispensed Accurately And Efficiently.
