- Safely transport patients to and from various locations within the facility, such as exam rooms, testing areas, and treatment rooms.
- Utilize proper body mechanics and equipment to ensure the safety and comfort of the patient during transport.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as with other healthcare professionals, to ensure a positive and efficient patient experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient transport activities, including patient information and transport times.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to prioritize and coordinate patient transport needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and patient transport areas.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Participate in training and education programs to ensure knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and visitors, addressing any questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Adhere to all Northwell Health policies and procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements, to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Patient Transporter Position At Northwell Health Is A High School Diploma Or Its Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Handle Tasks Such As Reading And Following Instructions.
