
Patient Access Services Representative
Northwell Health is currently looking for an experienced and passionate Patient Access Services Representative to join our team. This position is an important part of our patient care team, as the Patient Access Services Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and supporting our patients throughout their healthcare journey.The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who is passionate about helping others. We are looking for a team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and customer service skills, and possess the ability to multitask and prioritize. A successful Patient Access Services Representative at Northwell Health will have a minimum of 5 years of customer service experience, experience in the healthcare industry, and working knowledge of health insurance plans and billing.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients throughout their healthcare journey.
- Handle incoming patient inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist patients with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and understanding billing procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize computer systems to enter, retrieve, and update patient information.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Remain current on healthcare industry regulations, changes, and trends.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with resolving patient complaints and inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide education and guidance to patients on insurance plans, billing, and other related topics.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
