  1. Coordinate and oversee the communication and dispatch of emergency medical services for Northwell Health.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate communication with emergency responders, hospital staff, and other relevant parties.
  3. Monitor and evaluate emergency calls to determine the appropriate level of response and dispatch resources accordingly.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emergency response protocols and procedures.
  5. Train and educate emergency responders on communication protocols and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure efficient and effective emergency response.
  7. Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and prioritize emergency situations.
  8. Provide support and guidance to emergency responders during high-stress and critical situations.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all emergency calls and responses.
  10. Identify and address any communication or dispatch issues to improve the overall quality of emergency response.
  11. Uphold a high standard of professionalism and compassion in all interactions with patients, families, and coworkers.
  12. Keep abreast of industry developments and trends to continuously improve emergency response processes.
  13. Participate in regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  15. Represent Northwell Health in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Emergency Medical Technician (Emt) Certification: A Paramedic Communications Coordinator At Northwell Health Should Hold A Current Emt Certification, As This Demonstrates A Strong Foundation Of Knowledge And Skills In Emergency Medical Services.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience As A Paramedic: Northwell Health Requires Candidates To Have At Least 3 Years Of Experience Working As A Paramedic, With A Focus On Emergency Medical Communications And Coordination.
