We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and modifiers, as well as experience in auditing and coding outpatient records.   1. Conduct audits of outpatient coding to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines.
  2. Utilize strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and modifiers to accurately code outpatient services.
  3. Review and analyze medical records to identify any discrepancies or errors in coding.
  4. Collaborate with coding team to address any coding issues and provide feedback for improvement.
  5. Stay up-to-date with changes in coding guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance.
  6. Communicate audit findings and provide recommendations for improvement to management.
  7. Monitor and track coding trends and provide reports to identify areas for improvement.
  8. Ensure timely and accurate submission of coded outpatient records.
  9. Train and educate coding and clinical staff on coding guidelines and best practices.
  10. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  11. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance coding efficiency and accuracy.
  12. Work closely with billing department to resolve any coding-related denials or issues.
  13. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient documentation and coding processes.
  14. Participate in coding and compliance meetings to stay informed about changes and updates in the healthcare industry.
  15. Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all coding practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification From Ahima Or Aapc

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Icd-10-Cm, Cpt, Hcpcs, And Other Coding Systems

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Outpatient Coding And Auditing In A Healthcare Setting

  • Strong Understanding Of Medicare, Medicaid, And Commercial Insurance Regulations And Guidelines

  • Excellent Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Coding Discrepancies And Errors
