- Perform ophthalmic photography procedures to capture high-quality images of the eye for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists to ensure accurate and timely imaging for patient care.
- Maintain and operate ophthalmic imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all imaging procedures.
- Assist ophthalmologists in the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions by providing high-quality images.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmic photography techniques and technology.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide excellent patient care and customer service.
- Educate patients on imaging procedures and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall patient experience.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Attend training and educational sessions to maintain and improve skills and knowledge related to ophthalmic photography.
Education And Training: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Photography Or A Related Field Is Required, Along With Specialized Training In Ophthalmic Photography Techniques And Equipment.
Certification: Candidates Should Hold A Valid Certification From The Ophthalmic Photographer's Society (Ops) Or The Joint Commission On Allied Health Personnel In Ophthalmology (Jcahpo).
Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As An Ophthalmic Photographer In A Clinical Or Research Setting Is Preferred. Previous Experience With Various Imaging Modalities, Such As Fundus Photography, Optical Coherence Tomography (Oct), And Fluorescein Angiography Is Also Desirable.
Technical Skills: Candidates Should Possess Excellent Technical Skills And Be Proficient In Using Various Ophthalmic Imaging Equipment And Software, Such As Digital Cameras, Slit Lamps, And Image Analysis Programs.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role As The Ophthalmic Photographer Will Work Closely With Ophthalmologists, Patients, And Other Healthcare Professionals. The Ability To Explain Procedures And Educate Patients On The Imaging Process Is Also Crucial.
