  1. Provide excellent patient care by assessing, diagnosing, and treating pediatric surgical patients.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  3. Monitor and manage post-operative care for pediatric patients, including wound care, pain management, and medication administration.
  4. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and post-operative care instructions.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes, treatments, and medications.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in pediatric surgery to provide the highest quality of care.
  7. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  10. Act as a resource and mentor to less experienced nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  11. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve upon personal and professional skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care to patients.
  13. Maintain a compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach in all interactions with patients and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Pediatric Surgery From An Accredited Program.

  • Active Certification As A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Pnp) From The Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (Pncb) Or The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner In A Surgical Setting.

  • Current And Unrestricted License To Practice As A Nurse Practitioner In The State Of New York.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) Certifications.
