  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Neurosurgical ICU unit, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  2. Ensure high-quality and compassionate care for critically ill neurosurgical patients.
  3. Serve as a role model and mentor to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  4. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain and improve the quality of patient care.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  6. Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
  7. Manage the budget and resources of the unit, including equipment and supplies.
  8. Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new nursing staff.
  9. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to nursing staff.
  10. Facilitate staff development and education, ensuring that all staff members are up to date on best practices and industry standards.
  11. Mediate and resolve conflicts within the unit and promote a positive work environment.
  12. Stay informed about advancements and changes in the field of neurosurgical nursing and integrate new knowledge into practice.
  13. Serve as a liaison between the unit and other departments within the healthcare organization.
  14. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  15. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that patient and family needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field

  • Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of New York

  • Previous Management Or Leadership Experience In A Healthcare Setting

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Neurosurgical Icu Setting
