  1. Monitor and analyze patient cardiac rhythms using various monitoring equipment.
  2. Recognize and promptly report any abnormal cardiac rhythms to the appropriate medical staff.
  3. Document and record all cardiac rhythm readings accurately and in a timely manner.
  4. Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure proper treatment and care of patients.
  5. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
  6. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  7. Provide support and assistance to other healthcare team members as needed.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards at all times.
  9. Stay updated on the latest monitoring technology and techniques.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.
  11. Provide compassionate and quality care to patients and their families.
  12. Adhere to all Northwell Health policies and procedures.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Knowledge Of Cardiac Monitoring Equipment: A Monitor Technician At Northwell Health Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Various Types Of Cardiac Monitoring Equipment, Including Electrocardiograms (Ecg) And Telemetry Devices.

  • Proficiency In Interpreting Cardiac Rhythms: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Accurately Interpret And Identify Abnormal Cardiac Rhythms, Such As Atrial Fibrillation And Ventricular Tachycardia.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Monitor Technician, Effective Communication Is Essential In Relaying Critical Information To Healthcare Providers. Candidates Should Have Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills.
