Bachelor's Degree In Microbiology Or Related Field: A Formal Education In Microbiology Is Essential For A Microbiology Technologist Position At Northwell Health. A Bachelor's Degree In Microbiology Or A Related Field Such As Biology, Biochemistry, Or Medical Technology Is Required.
Ascp Certification: Northwell Health Prefers Candidates Who Are Certified By The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Technologist (Mt). This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Expertise And Knowledge In The Field Of Microbiology.
Experience In A Clinical Laboratory: Previous Work Experience In A Clinical Laboratory, Particularly In Microbiology, Is Highly Desirable For This Position. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Techniques, Equipment, And Safety Protocols.
