- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the medical staff services department.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements related to medical staff services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all medical staff members.
- Facilitate the credentialing and privileging process for new and existing medical staff.
- Communicate with medical staff regarding credentialing and privileging status.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with medical staff, department heads, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the reappointment process for medical staff as required.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely completion of medical staff-related tasks.
- Provide support and guidance to medical staff regarding policies and procedures.
- Plan and coordinate meetings and events for medical staff, including agendas and meeting materials.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of medical staff records.
- Act as a liaison between medical staff and other departments, addressing any concerns or issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in medical staff services.
- Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Train and supervise new staff members in the medical staff services department.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental and organizational meetings.
- Collaborate with other healthcare facilities and organizations as needed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Medical Staff Services, Credentialing, Or Healthcare Administration.
Knowledge Of Relevant Accreditation And Regulatory Standards, Such As The Joint Commission And Cms.
Strong Organizational And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Stakeholders.
Proficiency In Credentialing Software And Microsoft Office Suite.
