- Oversee the overall management and maintenance of Northwell Health facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and administrative buildings.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for facility maintenance and improvements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the budget and financial planning for facility operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead and manage a team of facilities staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facility management, safety, and environmental standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure quality and timely completion of facility projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify any maintenance or safety issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless operations and efficient use of facilities.
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans for all facilities to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in facilities management and make recommendations for improvement or implementation.
- Serve as a liaison between Northwell Health and external stakeholders, such as government agencies and community organizations, regarding facility-related matters.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including senior leadership, to provide updates on facility operations and address any concerns or issues.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer service excellence within the facilities management team.
Bachelor's Degree In Facilities Management, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Facilities Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Facilities Staff.
Knowledge Of Local And State Regulations Related To Building And Safety Codes.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
