- Assist pathologists in the examination and diagnosis of patient tissue samples.
- Perform gross dissection and processing of tissue specimens for diagnostic purposes.
- Ensure proper handling and labeling of all tissue samples to maintain accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures and results.
- Oversee and train junior pathologists' assistants on proper techniques and protocols.
- Communicate any abnormal findings to pathologists and collaborate on diagnostic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
- Manage inventory and supplies for the pathology department.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep up to date with advancements in the field of pathology and implement new techniques or procedures as needed.
- Act as a liaison between the pathology department and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and timely processing of samples.
- Assist with quality control and quality assurance measures.
- Provide outstanding patient care and ensure patient satisfaction.

Master's Degree In Pathologists' Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program
Certification By The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) As A Pathologists' Assistant
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working As A Pathologists' Assistant In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience In Managing A Team Of Pathologists' Assistants
Knowledge Of Current Laboratory Procedures, Safety Protocols, And Quality Assurance Standards In Pathology.
