  1. Assist in the delivery of exceptional care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery procedures.
  2. Maintain a strong understanding of labor and delivery procedures and protocols.
  3. Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to support mothers during labor and delivery.
  4. Monitor and document vital signs and other important medical information.
  5. Anticipate and respond to the needs of mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process.
  6. Prepare and maintain patient rooms and equipment for labor and delivery procedures.
  7. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure a positive birthing experience for patients and their families.
  8. Provide emotional support and reassurance to mothers and their families during labor and delivery.
  9. Follow proper infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  12. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  13. Demonstrate a compassionate and caring attitude towards patients and their families.
  14. Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and preferences are addressed.
  15. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
  16. Assist with postpartum care and newborn assessments as needed.
  17. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Job Qualifications

  • Certified Labor & Delivery Technician: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Certification As A Labor & Delivery Technician From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Individual Has Received Proper Training And Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Duties Effectively.

  • Experience In Labor & Delivery: Candidates With Prior Experience Working In A Labor & Delivery Unit Will Be Preferred. This Experience Helps Them Understand The Unique Challenges Of The Job And Makes Them More Efficient In Their Role.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Essential For A Labor & Delivery Technician. This Knowledge Helps Them Accurately Document Patient Information And Communicate With Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Attention To Detail: Labor & Delivery Technicians Must Pay Close Attention To Detail To Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of Both The Mother And Newborn. They Must Be Able To Accurately Record Vital Signs And Monitor The Progress Of Labor.

  • Team Player: The Labor & Delivery Unit Requires A High Level Of Collaboration And Teamwork. Candidates Must Be Able To Work Effectively With Other Healthcare Professionals And Support Staff To Provide The Best Possible Care To Patients. A Positive Attitude And Strong Communication Skills Are Important For This Role.
