Responsibilities:

1. Assist physicians in the delivery of high-quality patient care in the Cardiology department.
2. Utilize critical thinking and problem solving skills to identify and address patient needs.
3. Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate interventions.
4. Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the health care team to ensure patient care plans are executed and patient needs are met.
5. Document patient care and progress in the medical record.
6. Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and proper self-care.
7. Maintain current Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
8. Maintain current knowledge and understanding of Interventional Cardiology or related field.
9. Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards of care.
10. Participate in patient care planning and provide input and recommendations.
