- Accurately and efficiently code medical records for inpatient services in compliance with established coding guidelines and regulations.
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation for coding.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding.
- Stay up-to-date with coding guidelines, regulations, and industry changes to ensure compliance and quality.
- Identify and report any coding and documentation errors or discrepancies to the appropriate parties.
- Train and educate colleagues on coding best practices and guidelines.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and quality standards in coding and abstracting medical records.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve coding issues and discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely coding.
- Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy regulations related to medical coding and patient information.
- Participate in coding audits and assist with the development of coding policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- Attend ongoing training and educational opportunities to maintain and enhance coding skills.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the coding manager or supervisor.
At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Medical Coding, Specifically In An Inpatient Setting.
Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification.
Strong Knowledge Of Icd-10 And Cpt Coding Systems.
Familiarity With Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems, Specifically Epic.
Excellent Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
