Responsibilities of an Infection Prevention Specialist:

1. Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control programs.

5. Investigate and document reported incidents of infection control violations.
6. Maintain accurate records of infection control activities.
7. Develop and maintain effective relationships with healthcare staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
8. Participate in education and training programs related to infection control.
9. Provide technical assistance to other healthcare professionals on infection control policies and procedures.
10. Monitor trends in infection control to ensure the implementation of best practices.
