
Infection Prevention Specialist

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a comprehensive understanding of infection control practices, and a commitment to quality patient care.This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field; a minimum of three years of infection prevention experience; and certification in infection prevention and control (CIC). Responsibilities of an Infection Prevention Specialist:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control programs.
- Provide expertise and guidance to healthcare staff on infection control practices.
- Ensure patient safety and quality of care by adhering to CDC guidelines.
- Monitor infection control practices and provide feedback on compliance.
- Investigate and document reported incidents of infection control violations.
- Maintain accurate records of infection control activities.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with healthcare staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in education and training programs related to infection control.
- Provide technical assistance to other healthcare professionals on infection control policies and procedures.
- Monitor trends in infection control to ensure the implementation of best practices.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing
