  1. Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment and supplies for procedures.
  2. Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopy procedures.
  3. Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient positioning.
  4. Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of procedures and patient information.
  6. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and communicate any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  8. Provide patient education and support before and after procedures.
  9. Follow all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  10. Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
  11. Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training.
  12. Demonstrate professionalism and exceptional customer service at all times.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Endoscopy Technician In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Ambulatory Surgery Center.

  • Certification As A Gi Technician (Gts) Through The Society Of Gastroenterology Nurses And Associates (Sgna) Or Equivalent Certification.

  • Knowledge Of Endoscopic Procedures And Equipment, Including Endoscopes, Biopsy Forceps, And Suction Devices.

  • Familiarity With Infection Control Protocols And Procedures, Including Proper Handling And Sterilization Of Equipment.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Effectively As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team.
