  1. Respond promptly and effectively to emergency calls, providing necessary medical care to patients in accordance with Northwell Health's protocols and procedures.
  2. Maintain a calm and professional demeanor during high-stress situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and colleagues.
  3. Utilize critical thinking skills and medical knowledge to assess patient needs and provide appropriate treatment.
  4. Administer first aid, CPR, and other emergency procedures as needed.
  5. Safely transport patients to medical facilities, communicating with hospital staff and providing updates on patient condition.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient care reports, documenting all treatments and interventions.
  7. Follow infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of illness and disease.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and treatment.
  9. Continuously update and maintain knowledge of medical advancements and techniques related to emergency care.
  10. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult and traumatic situations.
  11. Attend trainings and meetings as required by Northwell Health to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding the values of Northwell Health.
  13. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, when interacting with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  14. Adhere to schedules and respond promptly to emergency calls, ensuring timely and effective care for patients.
  15. Comply with all Northwell Health policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations related to emergency medical care.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education

  • Valid Driver's License And Clean Driving Record

  • Current Certification As An Emt-B Or Emt-P From An Accredited Institution

  • Ability To Lift And Carry Up To 125 Pounds And Physically Perform Duties Of The Job

  • Knowledge Of Emergency Medical Procedures And Protocols, Including Cpr And Basic Life Support Techniques
