Responsibilities of the Emergency Department RN:

1. Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
2. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best care possible for each patient.
3. Monitor patient progress and provide updates to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
4. Administer medication and treatments according to established protocols.
5. Maintain patient records and enter data into the electronic health record system accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
7. Respond to medical emergencies and initiate proper emergency protocols.
8. Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
9. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
10. Follow all hospital policies and procedures.
