EEG Technician

We are looking for an EEG Technician to join our team at Northwell Health. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and have experience working with electroencephalography (EEG) equipment. The EEG Technician will be responsible for the accurate and timely acquisition of EEG data and interpreting EEG results.The successful candidate must have a minimum of an Associate's Degree in a related field, such as Medical Technology, or a Certificate in EEG from an accredited program. At least two years of experience working with EEG equipment is also required. Certification as an EEG Technician is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities:

1. Accurately and timely acquire EEG data and interpret EEG results.
2. Follow established protocols and procedures for acquiring and interpreting EEG data.
3. Maintain and calibrate EEG equipment on a regular basis.
4. Troubleshoot any issues with EEG equipment and resolve them.
5. Monitor and record patient’s EEG readings and document findings.
6. Communicate patient’s EEG findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
7. Provide patient education regarding EEG processes and results.
8. Follow safety protocols and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
9. Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
10. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
