Dietetic Technician

We are looking for an enthusiastic Dietetic Technician to join the Northwell Health team. This position requires an Associate's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition Sciences, plus one year of experience in a healthcare setting. Additionally, the Dietetic Technician should have excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:

1. Manage and coordinate nutrition and dietetic services to ensure optimal patient health.
2. Provide patient education on proper nutrition and dietary requirements.
3. Develop and implement nutrition care plans for patients.
4. Monitor patients’ progress and adjust care plans as needed.
5. Collaborate with healthcare staff and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible care for patients.
6. Maintain patient records and documentation.
7. Monitor food quality and safety standards in the healthcare setting.
8. Provide counseling and support to patients and families on nutrition-related matters.
9. Research and stay up-to-date on the latest nutrition trends and advancements.
10. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss nutrition-related topics.
