  1. Perform thorough oral health assessments on patients, including screenings for gum disease and other dental issues.
  2. Administer preventive treatments such as cleanings, fluoride applications, and sealants to promote good oral hygiene.
  3. Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care.
  4. Take and develop dental x-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  5. Identify and document any abnormalities or concerns in a patient's oral health and communicate them to the dentist.
  6. Assist the dentist in various procedures, such as periodontal therapy and restorative treatments.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  8. Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment to ensure adequate stock levels.
  9. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  10. Continuously stay informed and up-to-date on new developments and techniques in dental hygiene.
  11. Collaborate with other members of the dental team to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  12. Display a high level of professionalism and compassion towards patients, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for their dental visits.
  13. Attend meetings and training sessions as required to improve skills and knowledge.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of Northwell Health in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Cpr Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree In Dental Hygiene From An Accredited Program

  • Current State License To Practice Dental Hygiene

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Setting

  • Knowledge Of Dental Procedures, Instruments, And Equipment.
