Responsibilities:
- Audit and review medical records for coding accuracy according to coding standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Utilize coding principles and industry best practices to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Identify coding errors and provide feedback to coding staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Develop, document, and implement coding processes and procedures.
- Provide coding training and education to staff.
- Monitor and measure coding performance and accuracy.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure compliance with coding standards.
- Participate in coding related projects and initiatives.
- Communicate coding issues and recommendations to leadership.
