- Provide high-quality care to patients with behavioral health needs.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate patient needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.

- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Act as a resource and mentor for other healthcare team members.
- Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects.
- Represent Northwell Health in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Active Rn License: Candidates Must Possess An Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse License In The State Of New York.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Position.
Behavioral Health Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Behavioral Health Setting, Such As A Psychiatric Hospital Or Outpatient Mental Health Clinic.
Bls Certification: All Candidates Must Hold A Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification From The American Heart Association.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Behavioral Health Registered Nurses Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills In Order To Effectively Work With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Team Members In A Mental Health Setting.
