Assistant Nurse Manager-Operating Room

At Northwell Health, we are looking for an experienced, passionate, and committed Assistant Nurse Manager-Operating Room to join our team. The ideal candidate must have the qualifications to manage the day-to-day operations of the Operating Room and provide guidance and support to our nurses.In this role, you will be responsible for personnel management, budgeting, and providing direct patient care. You must be an excellent communicator and have the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, staff, and other clinical personnel. Additionally, you must have a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, a minimum of 2 years of Operating Room or related clinical experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.If you are enthusiastic about working as part of a team, have a strong sense of responsibility, and can provide a high level of patient care, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Operating Room
2. Monitor and evaluate day-to-day operations of the Operating Room
3. Manage personnel, including hiring, training, and scheduling
4. Prepare and manage budget for the Operating Room
5. Provide direct patient care, including assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans
6. Collaborate with physicians, staff, and other clinical personnel
7. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards
8. Provide education and guidance to nurses
9. Maintain and update patient records
10. Monitor equipment and supplies in the Operating Room
