
Assistant Nurse Manager - Behavioral Health
At Northwell Health, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager - Behavioral Health to join our team. As a pivotal member of the nursing staff, this role is responsible for providing professional direction, development, and oversight of the nursing staff in the behavioral health department. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications and have the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and staff.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing excellent patient care and is knowledgeable in the field of behavioral health. This individual must possess a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and have current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. A minimum of three years of nursing experience with at least one year in a supervisory position is also required. Responsibilities:
- Provide professional direction, development, and oversight of the nursing staff in the behavioral health department.
- Ensure the quality of patient care and safety of the nursing staff.
- Collaborate with other departments and staff.
- Provide excellent patient care and be knowledgeable in the field of behavioral health.
- Maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
- Supervise nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other medical staff.
- Monitor budget and financial performance.
- Monitor and evaluate job performance of nursing staff.
- Facilitate continuing education and training of nursing staff.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and staff.
- Have exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Have the ability to work well under pressure.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing
Current Registered Nurse Licensure In New York State
Three Years Of Nursing Experience In Behavioral Health
Demonstrated Leadership And Management Ability
Previous Experience In A Supervisory Role
Knowledge Of Patient Care Standards And Procedures
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills
