
Sr Accountant, Private Equity Accounting

- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for private equity clients in accordance with GAAP and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information for financial reporting.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in financial data.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members on complex accounting matters.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial projections.
- Participate in the due diligence process for potential new clients and investments.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address any questions or concerns regarding financial reporting.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline and enhance the financial reporting process.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.

Cpa Certification: A Sr Accountant At Northern Trust Should Have A Valid Certified Public Accountant (Cpa) Certification, Demonstrating Their Expertise In Accounting Principles And Practices.
Prior Experience In Private Equity Accounting: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Private Equity Accounting, Preferably In A Senior Role, To Demonstrate Their Understanding Of Complex Financial Transactions And Reporting Requirements In This Industry.
Strong Analytical Skills: A Sr Accountant Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Be Able To Review Complex Financial Data, Identify Trends And Patterns, And Make Sound Recommendations To Support Strategic Decision Making For Private Equity Clients.
Knowledge Of Gaap And Ifrs: Northern Trust Works With Clients Globally, And Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And International Financial Reporting Standards (Ifrs) To Ensure Accurate And Compliant Financial Reporting.
