Job Description

Are you a highly experienced risk management professional looking for a new challenge? Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Third Party Risk Management team. In this role, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with third party relationships. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and enhance our risk management processes.   1. Conduct thorough assessments of potential risks associated with third party relationships and develop mitigation strategies.
  2. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, providing expert guidance on risk management best practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
  3. Lead and participate in due diligence reviews of third party vendors to identify and assess potential risks.
  4. Develop and implement risk management processes and procedures to ensure the effective identification, monitoring, and mitigation of risks.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and strengthen third party risk management practices across the organization.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory changes related to third party risk management and provide recommendations for improvement.
  7. Communicate and report on risk management findings, actions, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support in all risk management related matters.
  9. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in third party risk management processes.
  10. Mentor and train junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the team's overall capabilities.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Third Party Risk Management: A Senior Consultant At Northern Trust Should Have A Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Third Party Risk Management, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Third Party Relationships.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Relevant Regulations And Guidelines Related To Third Party Risk Management, Such As Occ 2013-29, Fdic Fil-44-2008, And Iso 27001.

  • Proven Project Management Skills: The Role Of A Senior Consultant At Northern Trust Requires The Ability To Lead And Manage Complex Projects Related To Third Party Risk Management. The Candidate Should Have A Demonstrated Ability To Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously, Meet Deadlines, And Deliver Results.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Senior Consultant, The Candidate Will Be Required To Work Closely With Various Internal And External Stakeholders, Including Senior Management, Vendors, And Clients. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are A Must.

  • Analytical And Critical Thinking Abilities: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills To Evaluate Complex Third Party Relationships, Identify Potential Risks, And Develop Effective Risk Mitigation Strategies. Experience With Data Analysis And Reporting Is Also Desirable.
