  1. Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Monitor and assess risk management practices across the organization and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with various teams and departments to ensure consistent implementation of risk management policies.
  4. Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential risks.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
  6. Train and educate employees on risk management policies and procedures.
  7. Act as a point of contact for risk-related inquiries and provide guidance to employees.
  8. Analyze data and prepare reports on risk management performance and trends.
  9. Communicate with senior management and stakeholders to provide updates on risk management initiatives.
  10. Lead and participate in cross-functional projects to improve risk management processes and procedures.
  11. Continuously review and enhance risk management policies and procedures to adapt to changing business needs.
  12. Act as a mentor to junior team members and provide guidance on risk management best practices.
  13. Foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
  14. Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with risk management standards.
  15. Represent the company in industry events and conferences to enhance the company's reputation in risk management.

Job Qualifications
  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Risk Management Principles And Practices: A Senior Consultant In The Central Policy Office At Northern Trust Must Possess A Strong Understanding Of Risk Management Principles, Including Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk, And Compliance Risk. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Risk Management Policies And Procedures.

  • Extensive Experience In The Financial Services Industry: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In The Financial Services Industry, Preferably In A Risk Management Role. This Experience Should Include Working With A Variety Of Financial Products And Services, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of The Regulatory Environment.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Senior Consultant, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Analyzing Complex Risk Issues And Providing Recommendations To Senior Management. They Must Have Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Effectively Identify And Mitigate Potential Risks.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Of A Senior Consultant In The Central Policy Office Requires Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management, Business Units, And External Regulators. They Should Also Have The Ability To Present Complex Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.

  • Professional Certifications: A Senior Consultant Should Hold Relevant Professional Certifications, Such As Certified Risk Manager (Crm) Or Certified In Risk And Information Systems Control (Crisc). These Certifications Demonstrate The Individual's Expertise And Commitment To The Field Of Risk Management.
